3rd Grade

Third grade at Cherokee Elementary is an exciting and important year as students continue to build strong academic foundations while developing greater independence as learners. Throughout the year, students strengthen their skills in reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies while learning to think critically, solve problems, and collaborate with their classmates.

Our third grade teachers create engaging classroom environments where students are encouraged to ask questions, explore new ideas, and grow both academically and socially. Instruction focuses on developing confident readers and writers, strengthening math problem-solving skills, and helping students make meaningful connections to the world around them.

At Cherokee Elementary, we are proud of our third grade students and the progress they make each year. With the support of our dedicated teachers and families, students are challenged, supported, and prepared for continued success in the grades ahead.
